The Church Has Left the Building
September 23rd, 2007

This church cares about reaching out to our neighborhood and to the world. In fact, we believe that missions are so important that we are going to cancel worship and “leave the building” on September 23rd! We are hoping to find 100 people willing to participate in one of 15 different opportunities for service. There are high intensity activities involving hammers and chainsaws, and low-intensity activities that require a singing voice or a sewing machine. To meet this challenge, we’ll need every church member to participate, and even a few who invite a friend!
WHERE WILL YOU SERVE?

Choose a project below, then print a registration and permission form and return them to the church or mail them to:

“I was hungry, you gave me food. I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink, I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me…Anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.” (Matthew 25:35-36, 40; NCV)

Some helpful information:

  • Groups are requested to meet at Park Terrace before heading to job sites and are encouraged to car pool. Time commitment does not include travel time.
